Average Net Worth of Millennials by Age

It’s only human nature to wonder how your peers may be doing. We do it all the time in different ways. When it comes to income and savings, however, it may be even more difficult to know how others are doing since discussing finances can sometimes be taboo.

A recent article by TheCollegeInvestor.com sheds light on the average net worth of Millennials. And, before we look at the findings from the article, let’s be sure we are clear on what exactly a “Millennial” is.

According to the article, “Millennials are technically anyone born between 1982 and 2000 (always subject to change). Basically, these people are roughly 19 to 37 today. That’s roughly 81 million Americans.”

And while the average net worth of Millennials, according to TheCollegeInvestor.com, is a little over $10,000, that is slightly skewed by the variation in net worth overall.
